Michele De Lucchi designs Le cerchie, a round tray/centrepiece that encapsulates the minimalist style of the Italian architect. The 3-step edge is the distinctive feature of the project: an architectural design which, as the name suggests (‘cerchie’ is Italian for circles), is reminiscent of a square surrounded by a staircase. Le cerchie brings to mind a kind of classical amphitheatre whose actors are the objects placed at the centre of the tray. The mirror polished stainless steel produces interesting effects, reflecting the surrounding environment and the objects with which it comes into contact. The large dimensions of Le cerchie make it suitable for use as a serving tray or a generous centrepiece. Diameter48.00 cm
